400% on bagpipes was composed by Lincoln Hilton started as a school assignment where he had to improvise.
"I got a little carried away and wrote the entire suite in the 60-minute time limit. Many people when they give it their all, say they are giving 100%. I felt the tune gave much more, hence the name, 400%. I created the orchestral backing track for SFU’s concert at the Lincoln Centre in New York and since then many A Grade pipers and Grade 1 bands have continued to play the tune around the world including the National Youth Pipe of Scotland who named their recent concert after this piece." - Lincoln Hilton
